Why do people still use a travel agent?
You'd be forgiven for thinking traditional travel agents disappeared years ago.
After all, we can order our weekly shop from our phones, book a taxi in seconds and organise almost anything online. Surely booking a holiday is no different?
Well, if all you need is a flight and a hotel, maybe it isn't.
But travel isn't always that simple.
Maybe it's the family adventure you've been dreaming about for years. Maybe it's the honeymoon you've spent months saving for. Maybe it's a once-in-a-lifetime trip and you want everything to be just right.
That's usually when people come to us.
Not because they can't book it themselves. Because they don't want to do it alone.
The internet has information. We have experience.
The internet is brilliant. You can find hundreds of hotels and experiences in any destination with just a few clicks. Streetview the walk from where you’re staying to the local restaurant, even take a full tour of the hotel without moving from your sofa.
It's also full of conflicting reviews, endless options and “essential” advice from people you've never met.
One hotel is apparently "the best place ever" according to one reviewer and "the worst holiday of my life" according to the next.
Trying to make sense of it all can be exhausting.
But we've spent years travelling, researching destinations and helping people plan holidays all over the world. We've seen the resorts that look incredible in photos but disappoint in reality. And we've discovered hidden gems that don't always appear on page one of Google.
That's the difference experience makes.
We get excited about planning your holiday too!
One of the things our clients often tell us is how much they enjoy the planning process.
And so do we.
We love hearing about the trip you've always wanted to take. The places on your bucket list. The experiences you've been dreaming about.
Whether it's watching the Northern Lights, relaxing in an overwater bungalow in the Maldives, discovering a new city or finally taking that cruise you've talked about for years, we love turning those ideas into reality.
“Over the years, we've helped with everything from celebrating big birthdays and anniversaries, ticking destinations off bucket lists, and creating unforgettable family memories. Every trip is different, and that's exactly why we love what we do.
And there's nothing better than hearing from someone who's just returned home with stories, photos and plans for their next adventure already forming.”
Google doesn't know YOU
This is probably the biggest difference of all.
Google doesn't know that you hate early morning flights.
It doesn't know that you want a hotel within walking distance of a small marina with a choice of restaurants.
It doesn't know that your children will be happiest if there's somewhere calm to come back to after a busy day.
We do.
And the more we get to know you, the better we can recommend holidays that genuinely work for you.
When things go wrong, you're not on your own
Travel is wonderful.
It's also unpredictable.
Flights get cancelled. Plans change. Weather happens. Life happens.
When you've booked everything yourself, if something changes, you're often left trying to sort it all out alone.
But when you book with a travel agent, you have someone in your corner.
Someone you can call, who understands the industry, and who wants to help.
That's worth more than most people realise until they need it.
It's never just about booking a holiday
For us, travel has always been about more than simply matching the people to the right destination. It’s about the memories you'll make. The stories you'll come home with. The moments you'll talk about years from now.
Booking the holiday is just one small part of that.
The real magic is helping people experience more of the world, create unforgettable memories and travel with confidence.
That's why, even in a world where almost everything can be booked online, people still choose to use a travel agent.
And we're very glad they do.
