Plan Your World - Travel Stories
Four of our customers tell us what it's like to book and travel with Plan Your World. And with destinations ranging from an adventure in Borneo to a family trip in Lapland, it’s sure to provide some inspiration for your next trip.
Steve and Geri’s Borneo Adventure
Borneo is a lush tropical paradise of ancient rainforests, misty mountain peaks and powdery soft beaches. Famously home to playful orangutans, its lush jungles and crystal-clear waters are bursting with wildlife including many unique species. Combined with the lively buzz of nearby Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, this is an adventure for all the senses.
Steve and Geri travelled earlier this year, spending 3 nights exploring Singapore before heading to Borneo for 8 nights.
“On Lorraine’s advice we stayed at the Shangri-La Rasa Ria, and it was amazing. It’s set in acres of beautiful grounds with so much space to relax. It felt like a real escape, with the added bonus of a golf course and stunning surroundings.
One of our most memorable moments was visiting the Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre and watching the orangutans being fed – it was such a special experience.
We were keen to see as much of the country’s wildlife as possible and so Lorraine suggested a tour midway through our stay allowing us to get out on the Kinabatangan River, which was unforgettable! We just wouldn’t have thought of doing this ourselves, but it was the most incredible opportunity to spot so much wildlife and we felt totally immersed in nature. Thank you Lorraine for all your help and advice to make this trip so wonderful!”
Charlotte’s magical Disneyland Paris trip
Often thought of as the younger sibling to Florida’s vast parks, Disneyland Paris offers a wonderful sprinkle of Disney magic a little closer to home. From the enchanting new World of Frozen to seasonal events that transform the parks throughout the year, there’s always something new to discover. It’s perfect for younger children but with plenty of magic for all ages, it’s ideal for multi-generational family trips or for celebrating a special occasion together.
Charlotte travelled with her young family in xx this year, staying at the luxury Disneyland Hotel.
“Disneyland Paris was everything we wished for and much, much more!
Booking with Lorraine was an absolute joy. I was instantly reassured she had it all covered, and she totally considered the additional needs of one of my children which gave such a personal booking experience and real peace of mind and confidence with our decisions.
We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel which was sheer opulence! The service, facilities and location were incredible. It’s impossible to pick a ‘highlight’ from such a fabulous holiday, but if I had to it would be the ‘Disney magic’ that instantly consumed us all, to see my family’s happy smiling faces for four days was simply priceless. Thank you Lorraine... we can’t wait to go back again one day...”
The Hall family’s visit to sparkling Lapland
A trip to Lapland is the ultimate bucket-list winter adventure. Think thrilling husky sled rides across crisp white snow, magical sleigh journeys through silent forests, and the unforgettable moment of meeting Santa Claus in his snowy homeland. Add snowmobile safaris and cosy fireside evenings, and you have a truly magical Arctic escape.
The Hall family stayed in the Hotel Snowflake and Apartments in Saariselka for 4 nights full board, with all activities included as well as a day of skiing on the final day.
“THANK YOU! We have honestly had the most incredible trip and we couldn’t thank James enough for just perfecting every little detail. He just gets it and covers everything, all tailored perfectly to our family, needs and wants. Nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for booking a holiday…”
Michelle’s boutique Mallorcan stay
Possibly the perfect European beach escape, Mallorca continues to draw travellers back with its irresistible Mediterranean charm. Think traditional Spanish villages, fragrant orange groves and hidden turquoise calas tucked between golden cliffs. From the vibrant streets of Palma and the grandeur of Palma Cathedral to the picture-perfect curve of Port de Sóller and family-friendly resorts like Alcúdia, the island offers everything from relaxed villa escapes to family beach breaks.
Michelle and her family are booked to travel later this year for a week at the Monsuau Cala D’Or Boutique Hotel in Mallorca.
“After hours of scrolling through hotels and destinations online, I decided to pop into Plan Your World in Herne Bay and I’m so glad I did.
Debbie was so patient, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, taking the time to talk through all the options until we found the perfect holiday for us. It made such a difference to speak with a professional who really knows their stuff rather than trying to figure it all out alone.
I’d definitely recommend Debbie, and the glass of Prosecco to celebrate the booking was the perfect finishing touch!”
It’s genuinely such a joy for us to read these lovely comments and hear about everyone’s adventures,
And if it’s inspired you to start chatting about your future travel plans, then do get in touch with James, Debbie or I.
